Primary School Disco Winter Wonderland

Join us for an exciting event! Save the date Tuesday 28 July 2026.

The Meridan State College P&C Association, warmly invites all primary school students to our Winter Wonderland Disco, packed with music, dancing, and FUN!

The theme has been requested by our Year 6 leaders, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone dressed up in their amazing Winter Wonderland outfits.

Entry is $10, which includes access to the disco, a delicious sausage sizzle, a popper or water and blue glow sticks.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • Tickets can be purchased via the QKR! app until Monday 20 July 2026. Tickets will also be available for purchase before the disco at the ticket sales stall. However, pre-purchase is highly recommended to avoid queues and ensure students are not late to the event.
  • Prep – Year 3 Winter Wonderland Disco will run from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. The sausage sizzle will be available for collection after the disco between 5:00pm and 5:30pm.
  • Year 4 – Year 6 Winter Wonderland Disco will run from 5:15pm to 6:15pm. The sausage sizzle will be available for collection after the disco between 6:10pm and 6:30pm.
  • Parents are invited to stay and enjoy food and drinks. Ice cream will also be available for purchase from the ice cream stall (old tuckshop).
  • Access to water bubblers will be available at all times during the disco for our thirsty dancers.
  • Students must be collected from the hall by a parent/guardian at the end of the evening.
  • Due to the special flooring in our hall, only flat-soled shoes may be worn. No high heels.
  • No mobile phones are permitted at the disco.

     

     

    QKR App – How to Make Payments for the Primary School Disco:
  • QKR is the app currently used at Meridan for paying school bills, tuckshop purchases (Metro Canteens), and P&C-related payments (e.g. donations and event tickets). To make a payment for the upcoming Primary School Disco, please follow these steps:
  • Download the QKR app
    Search for our school by selecting “Nearby Locations" and choose our school from the list. Set up your student's profile and ensure the correct class is selected
    Scroll to “Parents and Citizens Payments"
    Select “Primary School Disco"
    Complete payment.

    If your child has any dietary requirements (e.g. gluten-free or vegetarian), please email details to pandc@meridansc.eq.edu.au by Monday 20 July 2026 12pm.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

These events are not possible without the support of our parent volunteers. We are looking for helpers to assist with ticket sales, cooking the BBQ, selling ice cream, and general supervision throughout the event.

Please consider volunteering if you are available. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps make these events a success for our students.

Volunteer shifts are as follows:
• 3:30pm – 5:00pm: Set-up and assistance
• 5:00pm – 6:45pm: Pack-up and assistance
