Meridan State College Student Support and Wellbeing Services
Meridan State College provides a range of student support services and access to internal and external support and wellbeing agencies. Each Sub School holds regular Student Wellbeing Meetings providing referred students with access to a panel to discuss the options for support available within and outside of the College.
What does the Student Wellbeing Committee Achieve?
Student Wellbeing Meetings are hosted regularly by each Sub School and include staff from administration, learning support, our Learning Development Centre (LDC), classroom teachers and the Guidance Officer. These meetings allow an opportunity to provide targeted and personalised support for referred students. The staff at these meetings determine learning, social and emotional support and extension programs and where required referrals to outside agencies. Students referred to the Student Wellbeing Committee are reviewed regularly to ensure their ongoing support and extension needs are being catered for.
