Meridan PandC Presents Country and Western Trivia Night on Saturday, 17 October

Our wonderful P&C is organising a Trivia Night on Saturday 17 October and we would love to see as many staff, parents, carers and community members there as possible!

Tables are just $200 and seat up to 10 people – that's only $20 per person.

This is a bring your own food event, so pack your favourite snacks and get creative by decorating your table to match the theme.

There will be:

  • Lucky door prizes
  • Raffles
  • Auction
  • Prizes for the Best Decorated Table and Best Dressed

Theme: 🤠 Country & Western
Time: Doors open at 5:00 pm, with the event finishing at 10:00 pm
Venue: Sports Centre

Enjoy a fantastic night of trivia, music, fun, laughter, and 'refreshments' available from the bar.

Most importantly, we'll be raising funds for our Performing Arts Building, so we would greatly appreciate your support by purchasing a table.

FAQs

What time does the trivia night start?
Doors open at 5pm, with trivia starting at 6pm. We are opening from 3-4pm to allow for additional table decorating time. We recommend arriving early to get settled and grab a drink before the fun begins!

How many people can be on a team?
Teams can have up to 10 people. Don't have a full team? No worries—contact the organisers and we'll do our best to find you a team! We ask that one person purchases the table and we will correspond with them around any updates to the evening if they arise.

Do I need to know everything about trivia?
Absolutely not! Questions will cover a range of topics, so there's something for everyone. Bring your random knowledge, lucky guesses and competitive spirit!

What should I bring?
Bring your ticket, team name, your best trivia knowledge and your competitive spirit! Pens and answer sheets will be provided.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes – you're welcome to bring food and snacks to enjoy throughout the evening. We strongly encourage bringing a platter to eat throughout the night. We recommend reaching out to our local Woolworths or Subway at Currimundi who can cater for platters and share plates to collect on your way to the event.

Will food be available?
Yes -  we will have a food truck available on the evening.

Can I bring my own drinks?
No - we will have a bar to purchase drinks from. Bringing your own drinks is prohibited. Please remember that all proceeds go back towards the school and towards the fundraising of the night.

Will there be prizes?
YES! 🏆 There will be prizes for [winning team / runner-up / best dressed / bonus challenges / etc.]—so come ready to compete!

Will there be raffles and other games?
Absolutely! 🎟️ There will be raffles, games, challenges and auctions throughout the night, with plenty of opportunities to win some fantastic prizes. Tickets will be sold on the night, and we encourage you to participate and fundraise for our amazing school.

Is there a dress-up theme?
Yeehaw! 🤠 Our theme is Country & Western, so dust off your cowboy boots, grab your hat and get ready to show us your best country style!

Do I have to dress up?
No — but best dressed may win a prize, and let's be honest, a trivia night is much more fun when everyone gets into the spirit!

Can children attend?
No - this is an adult only event. Students are not permitted to attend.

Can I buy tickets on the night?
No - We recommend purchasing tickets in advance as places are limited.

What happens if I can't make it after purchasing a ticket?
Please reach out to pandc@meridansc.eq.edu.au to arrange a refund.

Is there parking available?
Yes -  parking will be available on site.

What if I don't have a team?
Don't panic! Contact the organisers and we'll help you find a team to join. If you would like to attend but do not have a team, please contact pandc@meridansc.eq.edu.au

Who does the money raised support?
All funds raised from the evening will go towards fixing the speaker system in the performing arts building and helping support our school/community.

What's the most important thing to remember?
Have fun, bring your friends, don't take the competition too seriously—and remember that the quizmaster is always right! 😜🏆
