Junior Secondary to Senior Secondary Transition

Junior Secondary students are supported in their transition into the Senior School through a structured transition program. This program assists students in making informed decisions regarding subject selection through career advice, aligning subject offerings to senior curriculum offerings and an ability to specialise in areas of interest.

The transition program also includes:

  • Transition days for student to experience senior subjects
  • A senior school induction program
  • Parent information evenings
  • Talks from current senior students

Senior Pathways and Tertiary Programs

To enable our students to leave school and become active and engaged citizens, our senior programs provide transitional opportunities that include:

  • Certificate II in Workplace Practices
  • University Headstart programs
  • School organised university and TAFE visits
  • QTAC preparation programs to ensure appropriate course selections
  • Career advice visits from various organisation including military, trades and local organisations

These programs provide our students with information that will enable them to successfully transition from school into either the workforce or tertiary studies.
