As a College we continue to set high expectations and seek to implement guidelines and procedures to promote this.
Recently (in collaboration with the P&C) we have made some adjustments to our Dress Code.
The intent of our Dress Code, includes:
- Promoting equity – minimising visible evidence of economic, class or social difference.
- Promoting social safety and minimising disruption to learning – remove the distraction of competition in dress and fashion at the College (and in the morning when getting dressed).
- Promoting College belonging and identity - enabling ready identification of students aligned to sub-schools, and encouraging behaviours in line with community values, expectations and perceptions of the College.
The school holidays provide a good opportunity to reset and reflect around these expectations and get a great start to Term 4 in this area.
College staff will place a priority focus on this area in the first few weeks to support students in meeting these high expectations.
