The Laptop Program is an option that allows students to hire a laptop from the college for a fee. These laptops operate within the Education Queensland's standardised operating environment giving students access to our school network and software and are taken home by the student for the duration of the hire period.
Please note that the hire devices are configured to a general specification for use across the whole of college, and therefore will not run specialist software taught in higher year level subjects, please consider using your own device as specified in the higher category on the specification sheet.
The preferred method of application is via the Meridan Laptop Program Online application form which will trigger an invoice to be issued to you and must be paid in full before the device will be allocated.
By applying for the Meridan Laptop Program you acknowledge that your child will adhere to the standard Meridan ICT (Information and Communication Technology) policy. Please note that there can be approximately 1 week wait between the form submission (with payment) and the student receiving the laptop (time of year dependent).
Students will need to check student notices or the information screen at the IT (Information Technology) HELP Desk to check when their device is ready for collection.
Meridan Laptop Program Fees
The program fee is $12 per term week (paid up front and calculated at time of application).
Please note that laptop supply is limited. The digital application form will be closed when all MLP devices are allocated. Please contact mlp@meridansc.eq.edu.au for any further information.
A laptop cannot be guaranteed unless payment has been made to the Meridan accounts department and the online application form has been received by the Meridan IT Team.
