Laptop Hire Program

 

To ensure that every student at Meridan State College has access to a device, the College offers an optional laptop hire program – the Meridan Laptop Hire Program. This program allows for students to hire a laptop from the college for a fee, which operates under Education Queensland’s standardised operating environment giving students access to our school network and software as well as a laptop that they can take home each night.

The Meridan Laptop Hire Program application form (PDF, 432KB) is available on this page as well as from the ICT HELP Desk during the opening times. The completed form must be signed and returned with payment to Client Services (Open Monday to Friday from 8am - 12pm). Our Student Laptop Charter (PDF, 812KB) document explains the rules, responsibilities and obligations of the parties involved with the agreement. Please note that there will be approximately 1 week wait between the form submission (with payment) and the student receiving the laptop (time of year dependent). Students will need to check daily notices and the information screen at the HELP Desk to view when their device is ready for collection.

Laptop Take Home Program Fees

The cost of the program will reduce if you take up the program later in the year. Please note that laptop supply is limited, and a laptop cannot be guaranteed unless payment has been received/committed to and a signed laptop form has been returned to the college.

  4. QParents https://qparents.qld.edu.au/#/login Access your invoices and make full or partial payments through the QParents website or download the App on your smart phone or tablet.

Technical Support

Please advise the ICT HELP Desk of all warranty issues, accidental damage, theft or loss as soon as the incident occurs. The College will then contact the vendor to resolve the relevant issues, and your child will be provided with a loan laptop (subject to availability).
