Learning Today, Creating Tomorrow

Meridan State College aims to provide a seamless curriculum that links the learning of our students from the junior school, through middle school and effectively prepares students for the senior phase of learning.

The curriculum is organised around key learning principles that reflect a combination of best practice in educational research.

Connected Learning – Pathways To Success

Meridan’s unit framework is based on developing inquiries that provide students the opportunity to demonstrate essential learnings – knowledge and understanding and ways of working, from all eight key learning areas (KLAs) in a learning context that promotes the development of life long learning attributes and is connected to real-life experiences.

Meridan State College acknowledges that optimum student learning occurs when learning is integrated and connected to the real world, is intellectually challenging, recognises differences in individuals and groups of students, is negotiated with students and is carried out in a supportive classroom environment.
