Kitchen Assistant Required

Meridan State College P & C Association is looking for a dynamic, flexible, team player to work as a kitchen assistant in a small but busy Tuckshop and Café. 
30-35 hours per week, school term time only.
Applicants must have kitchen and cooking experience and be flexible to move between different roles within the team, in a fast paced environment. 
Must have great communication skills, friendly demeanour and great customer service skills.
The role will include, but is not limited to:
·         Preparation and cooking of daily hot specials.
·         Catering for training events and conferences on site.
·         Preparation of other food items.
·         Taking part in daily and periodic cleaning routines.
·         Receipt, checking and storage of food orders.
·         Temperature checks on appliances.
·         Assist in stocktakes and recording wastage.
Role starting Term 1, 2020 (during student free days).

Interviews will take place on Monday 9 December. 
The successful applicant should be available for a trial day on Thursday 12 December or Friday 13 December.
Offer is subject to successful applicants obtaining a blue card (at own expense). 
Successful applicants will also need to complete a Food Handling Course (paid for by P & C Association), unless they already hold this certification.
