Parents of children born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2005 who are starting Prep in 2010 will need a birth certificate to enrol them in the Prep Year.

The Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages is encouraging parents to apply for birth certificates now to avoid the new school year rush.

Meridan State College is located in Meridan Plains, in the west of Caloundra.

Framed by Rainforest, our College is situated on the corner of Parklands Boulevard and Meridan Way.

Please notify the school if your children are absent (ie. sick or on holiday). This can be done either by phoning the Student Absence Line (5490 2660) and leaving a message, or by sending a note in to the classroom teacher.

Wakakirri State Winners

Meridan has won the State Finals for Wakakirri! This is only the second year we have participated and we were competing against schools across all of Queensland – government and private. We were delighted when we were selected in the initial heats, then again when we won the regional competition but never dreamed we would win the State title! What an absolute thrill!

Congratulations to our talented students, dedicated teachers and our wonderful parent helpers.

Karaoke Carols

On behalf of the College and our P&C we would like to cordially invite all students and their families to attend our end of year celebration event 'Karaoke Carols' on Wednesday 9 December to be held here at the College from 6.00pm to 8.30pm

We have many exciting things planned to celebrate our amazing year and we hope to see you here in your Christmas attire, a rug in hand and a great singing voice. The P&C will be providing various dinner options for you and your family to purchase and of course battery operated candles and glowsticks will be available for sale. See you on Wednesday 9 December!
